RECOGNISED BY AND WORKING IN COORDINATION WITH HABITAT INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL NETHERLANDS AND UNITED NATIONS CENTRE FOR HUMAN SETTLEMENTS (HABITAT) U.N.O KENYA
The Director General, sought valuable advice and suggestions from Presidents of various States in the world to project the above organization with sole intention of providing shelter to the homeless in the whole world. This correspondence consumed about two months i.e., from 14 th September 1981 to till the end of November 1981.
The Government of India (Ministry of Works and Housing) in its letter dated 5th June 1986 directed our organization regarding the nature of assistance required to our organization from Ministry of Urban Development.
On account of time factor, it is requested on 6-2-1982, to the Secretary General, United Nations Organization at San Fransisco to notify our memorandum to the other nations to whom, we are unable to make the correspondence.
The Secretary-General of the United Nations directed its office at New Delhi to send the resolution adopted by General Assembly in Thirty-Sixth Session. The resolution reveals that observation of International year of Shelter for homeless in the year 1987. Further appealed to all States, intergovernmental and Non-governmental organizations and the public at large to indicate appropriate support for the International Year of Shelter for the homeless.
On further correspondence with U.N.O recognition of our Organization (W.S.O), the body of U.N.O. i.e., United Nations Centre for Human Settlements ( Habibat ) Kenya, Welcomed our activities and recognized us by placing us on their NGO Mailing list and further directed our organization to correspond with Habital International Council, Wassenaarseweg, the Hague, Neitherlands. On further correspondence with HIC, this organization recognized our W.S.O since then several correspondence have been made with HIC regarding activities.
The habital International Council invited our organization to participate in the preliminary meetings at Istanbul/Turkey Which was scheduled on 1-6 May 1986.
